3D print

This is a prototype of a 3D printers with FDM technology: It prints with a speed of 450mm/s and an acceleration of up to 4000mm/s² – with a precision of 0.01mm on the x- and y-axis and up to 50 micrometre resolution on the z-axis. The workspace of this machine is high with dimensions of 360mm x 360mm x 400mm. Plastic bearings from igus® are used for the axles. The printer can process all filament materials. The use of igus® products allows an application of lightweight aluminium linear shafts. They work even among high acceleration, are lightweight and quiet.
